Often I discuss my criticism of a book with a friend, who may or may not have read it themselves. If they have read the book, they can often shed extra light on the issue. If not, it forces me to re-state the author&#039;s argument, which helps make sure I understand it fully myself.

When I do write down my criticisms in the book, I usually do it in the margin of the page.</description>
